Arsenal face Manchester United in a huge game in the top half of the table as they look to continue their superb run of form. In the build-up to the game, they have been handed a major boost by talisman Alexis Sanchez.
Arsenal have been in fine form in recent weeks as they have forged their way up the table. A superb dismantling of arch-rivals Tottenham was followed by a battling win over Burnley before the Gunners obliterated Huddersfield in midweek.
Their three wins in a row mean that the London side have collected 28 points this season. This means Arsene Wenger’s men are currently in fourth-place, a point behind Chelsea, and two points clear of Liverpool in fifth. Considering they were going through an apparent mini-crisis only a few weeks ago, their turnaround has been remarkable.
It has not been an easy few weeks for the club, but it is one that they have come through stronger for. Victories over two top-seven sides and a win over a Huddersfield team that ran Manchester City very close is exceptionally impressive. They will be looking to maintain this run when they host Manchester United at the weekend, and they have been handed a huge boost ahead of the game.
The Metro have reported that Alexis Sanchez participated in Friday’s training session after complaining about suffering from a tight hamstring in their win over Huddersfield. However, the Chilean seems to be in contention to play in what could be a hugely influential game at the top.
